Today, I stopped at Studio 89 Cafe for a coffee. The brew was delicious. As I sat there, I observed people and traffic, but my main focus was on the upcoming Up Close and Personal With Your Local Authors event scheduled for August 29, 2026, at the Canadian Coptic Center, 1245 Eglinton Avenue W., Mississauga. https://www.blackwoodselfpublishingmadeeasy.ca/events
This year marks a milestone: our 10th anniversary. We are celebrating with a writing workshop, inspirational guest speakers, and a book marketplace, made possible by a MicroGrant from the Mississauga Arts Council.
We are proud of our local authors’ group, which has grown from one member to twenty-seven self-published authors.

Nice one. Hopefully I’ll be able to attend as my wounds are taking their own sweet time in healing.
BTW our 22nd Conference this year is on September 12. As usual we’ll have our market place and hopefully you’ll be able to come and participate. I’m not sure what the cost of the table will be yet. Haven’t discussed it with Sandra. When I do I’ll let you know. Right now I’m just concentrating on getting this leg better. It’s still bandaged.
