Paul isn’t a member of our group though he’s a regular at the coffee shop. He walks in and places his order. He sips. “Coffee’s too strong this morning” he says to no one in particular and then trots out in a huff. He puts his coffee on top of his SUV, starts the engine and off he drove, sending his coffee flying. Joan clutches her jaw … speechless.
I’m thinking … Paul has a lot going on in his life. I did promise to give him ideas about putting his aging mother in a nursing home … he’s in two opinions.
“Grab a chair Olive … we’re running late.” says Carol.
