View from my coffee cup

During coffee, my client and I discussed her soon-to-be-published new book. She has already released two volumes and has reached the purported sales ceiling for each self-published book (250 copies per year).

“Why publish another book?” she sighed.

“Because you have plenty more to say,” I replied.

Authors frequently talk about their work, whether it is unpublished or published. This is how people learn about us. Our first piece of writing may not be received as well as we hoped, but remember that more attempts will provide you with more writing experience.

I formed a group called Up Close and Personal with Your Local Authors ten years ago. Initially, I struggled to get traction with the idea of assembling local authors. It took me a few years to realize that people often need time to gravitate toward new initiatives, and those who join often do so for personal reasons.

I started this group to showcase and promote the work of our local authors each year. Join me on August 29 from 11 AM to 4 PM in the Trinity Hall at the Canadian Coptic Centre as we celebrate our tenth anniversary! https://www.blackwoodselfpublishingmadeeasy.ca/events
