I was sitting in the Airport Lounge in Montreal, reading, AFTER ALL THIS TIME, Still. I was laughing out loud while enjoying a chapter so rich in the content I wondered about my state of mind when I wrote it. Then, a smiling woman walked over to me; I guess my laughter was infectious; she observed the book cover and said; AFTER ALL THIS TIME, Still? Who is Olive Rose Steele? I answered I was; she burst out in unbelievable laughter. Where can I buy a copy? She asked. I have a pristine copy in my carry-on case, I answered. I’ll have it, she exclaimed.
Later, my new reader and I enjoyed a warm latte at the nearby Starbucks counter. Can writing, promoting, and marketing a book be that easy? Probably.
