WE ARE NOT COMPETITORS!
I was “pulling” on the last drop of coffee in my cup when the light bulb went on in my head … partnering!
Joining with fellow authors on promotional ventures is what I will do. After all, we are not competing with each other. Most of us are walking the same long lonely author road that gets longer and, often times isolated, when we self-publish our work.
Beginning in 2018, I am teaming up with fellow authors on two, maybe three, book events titled: UP-CLOSE AND PERSONAL WITH YOUR LOCAL AUTHORS. The idea is to invite readers and supporters to events where they may converse with authors from their neighborhood, authors who they otherwise might not have met; familiarize themselves with different genres and even add volumes to their collection. On the other hand, the authors get an opportunity to talk about their journey; promote their work; tap into follow other’s readership and gain sales in the process.
UP-CLOSE AND PERSONAL WITH YOUR LOCAL AUTHORS will take place at the Mississauga Novotel Hotel on April 6th from 6-11 pm. Make it a date.
Remember, making it in the writing business is not a walk in the park … support your favorite authors… purchase a book or two!
